I havent given much attention to the shows from the Summer of '95 tho I spend a little time listening to some of the stuff from Spring. I was only able to catch the boys twice once in Spring, once in Summer 1995.
I can understand that nostalgia can influence a rating for a person but I am not that person.
I was really hoping the SMR was going to be something spectacular. I have not listened to every one but I have listened to the majority and this version is frankly off. He flubs the vocals big time.
The first set has a few moments that stand out. The Masterpiece is very well done and the Little Red Rooster defiantly had me shaking my bones early this morning and I think perhaps the best part of the show.
Personally I would recommend skipping this unless you are like me and are so dedicated at this point that you absolute have to listen to every single show

I have listened to all of the 1995 shows and have come up with this this list of must hears and honorable mentions, from this last year of the Dead. On the very good side I recommend these.
2/21, 3/18, 3/26, 3/27, 4/5, 5/26, 6/2, and 6/30.
Hon mentions are 2/25(set 2) 3/22, 6/3, 6/22(set 2)
6/25 and 6/28. There are good to very good audience recordings of all of these shows here on the Archive. The 2 exceptions being, 3/26 and 3/27 which can be found on the Bt etree torrents. Happy listening.

I love TC, I love PigPen, I love Keith, I love Brent, I love Vince, I love Bruce. None of them are the same but it's all still grateful dead, homie. Appreciate it for what it is or don't listen and shut up. I stayed away from anything past Keith for a long time because of assholes like you and now I thank god for being able to appreciate it all. These guys are humans and I love them for that. By the way...Jerry was pretty sick so yeah he ain't doin' too hot but if you don't feel something in this recording, check your pulse

dude was it really necessary for you to foist your opinions on everyone -- on EVERY single uploaded source -- of the Dead's final show?
go whack off to Cornell '77 and leave everyone else alone... sick of you Keith elitists... must have been great acid you took in the 70s as the Keith era is some of the most plodding, slow tempo, un-inspired jamming i've ever heard...
Brent>Keith
you worship a guy who was so bored half the time that he only played keys with one hand so he could chain smoke cigarettes with the other.
go to heaven.

if you want to hear the Grateful Dead at their best ya gotta listen to 1966 through 1980 (1982 at the very latest). Any new listeners reading this post take my advice. You won't be disappointed. Nobody likes to hear that the years they saw the Dead in-person sucked but the reality is post-1982 Grateful Dead is nowheres near pre-1982.
